Bayer Community Health Programme - Lanseria
Program Objectives
To provide a School Health Program that conducts Primary Health Care, Dental, Optometry screenings and Health Education
To provide wellness screenings to educators including blood pressure screening, cholesterol screening and glucose screening
To screen 3 000+ beneficiaries
To keep client satisfaction above 75%
The programme ran from the 21st of November 2022 till the 25th of April 2023.
The programme has provided services to the following schools and sites:

Informal Settlements
The programme well received by the schools and communities serviced. Community leaders in the informal settlements serviced highlighted that services of this nature are not normally provided in their communities and members of the community cannot afford to have dental and optometry treatments.
The following types of screenings were conducted for community members, learners and Educators:
- Primary Healthcare screenings for all beneficiaries
- Optometry screenings for all beneficiaries
- Dental screenings with scaling for learners and extractions for community members
- Wellness screening for all educators which includes bp screening, cholesterol and glucose testing Referrals for all beneficiaries in need of further care
- Glasses for all beneficiaries with problematic eyesight
- Health education and Water Safety campaign
